In this article we will review the newly deployed ability to trigger an inspection using an inspection schedule, based on events or specified conditions.

Choose the Trigger option from the Frequency list to get started.
โ
Here you will be presented with a list of triggers or events to choose from:

Use Case and Examples
Below are a list of use cases and example for using the inspection schedule by trigger.
Inspection Complete / Closed
Trigger an interim inspection to be scheduled 6 months after the Move-In inspection has been closed or completed.
Custom Field Value Created / Updated
Schedule a follow-up inspection when the inspection status value (inspection custom field) is created or updated, for reinspection 10 days later.
Tag Added / Deleted
Trigger a Move-In inspection when the Vacant tag is deleted or removed from a property.
Adding Conditions or Rules to Inspection Schedules
Further customise the scheduling requirements by adding conditions or rules to the scheduling criteria.
Conditional options include:
If an Entity Has a Tag
If an Entity Does Not Contain a Tag
If a Custom Field has a Specific Value
If a Custom Field is not a Specific Value.
Entity Has / Does Not Contain Tag
When specifying the conditions for tags, select whether the tag is applied on a property or an inspection and specify the tag.
Custom Field Values
When specifying the conditions for custom field, select the custom field type (property, inspection, client) along with the custom field and the value that it should be equal or not equal to.
Example: When the inspection custom field - inspection_status is fail, apply the schedule as previously defined or created.
Once the Schedule has been created, continue with the steps outlined in the Inspection Schedule article, to Apply the Schedule to a Property.
