Property Inspect now makes it possible to add placeholders on templates, to include information regarding the property, contacts, clerk or company.
For example, when you enter the tag {clerk.name} into a field on a template, and then apply this template to a report, the assigned clerk's name will automatically appear in place of the tag, without the need to type it manually.
Please note: This will only work when adding tags on a template, and then assigning this template to an inspection - not when tags are added straight to an inspection.
To begin, head to Settings > Templates. Here you have the option to add a new template, or edit an existing one. If you are creating a template for the first time, follow this guide here to find out more about setting up templates. To add merge tags, open or create your template and type your placeholders as demonstrated below:
Once you have completed your template, it is now ready to apply to inspections. Add an inspection as normal and apply the template you have edited to it.
When you view and start the inspection, the tags will fill in with the relevant information as shown in the report editor below:
