Property Inspect has always allowed inspectors to flag an action or deficiency while inspecting a property.

With the launch of our Maintenance Module, you now have the ability to flag actions independent from a property inspection.

More importantly, you now have the ability to allow external users of the software to flag actions or report issues in order for your to effectively manage the request directly in your Property Inspect account.

Where to Manage Actions

A consolidated view of all action flagged across your entire portfolio is available when navigation to the actions dashboard.

Navigate to Properties > Actions.

The first column of the action results, will provide a key indicating how the action was flagged:

Property Actions

Actions flagged independently from inspections are referred to as Property Actions. These actions were flagged by a licences user of Property Inspection and can be flagged from the online editor or my.propertyinspect.com website or via the mobile application.

Flagging Actions Online

Navigate to the actions tab of a property and choose the "Create Action" button to get started.

Flagging Actions Via the App

Property Actions are available within the mobile application* by clicking on the blue plus arrow, choosing the “ Add Property Actions” option and following the onscreen prompts.

*Available from App version 6.2.1.

External Maintenance Link

Each instance of Property Inspect has a unique secure link, enabling you to share the maintenance URL with external users and tenants.

Choose from a variety of ways to share the report, including:

  1. Adding a button to your emails.

  2. Adding the link to your website.

  3. Sending the link to tenants at the start of a tenancy.

  4. Emails received from Property Inspect.

The report link remains secure, and only when an email is associated with a property, will the user be permitted to flag an action.

Recipients of the secure maintenance reporting link, can only flag actions on properties they are associated with.

How to Enable the Maintenance Module

Speak to your account manager to have the maintenance module enabled.
