This guide explains how to connect Property Inspect with MRI Property Management X (PMX).
Once connected, you can configure your PMX integration settings to import properties, contacts and inspections, send inspection updates back to PMX, and create service requests from Property Inspect actions.

Before You Start
Before connecting PMX, you will need to request your connection details from MRI.
MRI PMX users should log a support case through the myMRI Client Portal to start the connection process.
MRI may ask you to complete setup and testing before moving to your live production database. This helps make sure the connection is working correctly before live data is synced.
What Can the PMX Integration Do?
Once connected and configured, the MRI PMX integration can support the following:

Sync properties | Import selected PMX property levels into Property Inspect. |
Import property contacts | Import PMX contacts and attach them to the relevant imported property, building, unit or suite. |
Import inspections | Import inspections from PMX into Property Inspect, where supported. |
Send inspection updates | Send selected inspection updates from Property Inspect back to PMX. |
Send report links | Add the Property Inspect report PDF link back to the inspection in PMX. |
Send actions as service requests | Create PMX service requests from actions raised on Property Inspect reports. |
Import external data | Import additional PMX property data for use with custom fields in Property Inspect. |
The exact behaviour depends on the PMX settings you enable after connecting the integration.
Step 1: Go to your integration settings
In Property Inspect, go to:
Settings > Integrations
Scroll down to MRI Property Management X.
Click Connect MRI Property Management X.
Step 2: Request your PMX connection details from MRI
To connect Property Inspect with MRI PMX, you will need to contact MRI and request your connection details.
You will usually need the following details:
Required detail | What this means |
User name | Your MRI web services username. |
Password | The password linked to the MRI web services user. |
Database | The name of your MRI application database. |
Client ID | Your MRI Client ID. |
Version | The version of MRI PMX you are using. |
API Farm URL | The API Farm URL used for your PMX connection. |
MRI PMX has different versions, including X5 and X7. Make sure the credentials MRI provides match the version of PMX you use. Credentials for one version cannot be reused for another.
If you are unsure which PMX version you use, please check with MRI before entering your details in Property Inspect.
Step 3: Follow MRI’s setup process
MRI may require the following steps before your live connection is completed:
Partner Connect Agreement
Request and complete the required agreement with MRI before setup begins.Test database setup
Submit a support case to MRI to request connection details for your test database.Testing
Enter the test credentials in Property Inspect and complete testing to confirm the connection works as expected.Production database setup
Once testing is complete, submit a second support case to MRI to request your live production credentials.Live connection
Enter the production credentials in Property Inspect to complete your live connection.
If you do not have your credentials yet, select Where can I find my credentials? in the PMX connection window for additional setup guidance.
Step 4: Enter your PMX credentials
Once MRI has provided your connection details, enter them into the PMX connection window in Property Inspect.
Then click Connect.
If the connection is successful, you will see a confirmation message and the PMX settings will become available.
Step 5: Configure your PMX settings before syncing
After connecting PMX, review your integration settings before syncing data.
This helps make sure the correct properties, contacts, inspections, report links, and actions are synced between Property Inspect and PMX.
The main settings you may need to configure include:
Property Search Settings
Contact Import Settings
Sync Settings
Inspection Update Settings
Create Service Requests
⚠️ Do not start syncing data until you have reviewed your PMX settings.
This ensures the right information syncs across and helps prevent errors or unwanted data from being shared.
