Cancelling an Inspection

Cancelling an inspection allows you to keep a record of it in your account while marking it as no longer going ahead. This helps maintain a clear audit trail without losing important data.

Important to Know

  • Inspections cannot be deleted, only cancelled

  • Cancelling ensures the inspection remains visible for reporting and record-keeping

How to Cancel an Inspection


  1. Open the inspection you want to cancel

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page

  3. Click Cancel Inspection

  4. Input your reason for cancellation

Bulk Cancelling Inspections


1. Go to the Inspections tab on your dashboard

2. Use the Inspection State filters on the left-hand side to find the inspections you want to cancel

3. Click the Select button in the top-right corner

4. Tick the inspections you want to cancel, or choose:

  • Select All

  • Select All Pages

5. Click the With Selected dropdown

6. Select Cancel Inspections

Adding a Cancellation Reason

When cancelling multiple inspections, you can:

  • Add a reason for cancellation

  • Apply the same reason across all selected inspections

This helps improve tracking and gives better visibility on why inspections were cancelled.

Cancellation Options


When cancelling an inspection, you will see additional options:

  • Invoice the client for the cancelled inspection

  • Notify contacts that the booking has been cancelled

  • Remove contacts from the property (e.g. if the move is no longer going ahead)

Viewing Cancelled Inspections


Cancelled inspections are not removed from your account.

To view them:

  1. Use the Inspection State filters on the left-hand side

  2. Select Cancelled

Reopening a Cancelled Inspection


If needed, a cancelled inspection can be reopened directly from within the inspection.

1. Open the cancelled inspection

2. Scroll down the Info page

3. Click Reopen Inspection

The inspection will be restored to the Pending state.

Important to Know

  • Inspections can only be reopened within 30 days of being cancelled

  • After 30 days, the option to reopen the inspection will no longer be available.
